Go to System architecture page to read more about the LIVECHAT Contact Center Enterprise Edition.
Hardware Compatibility
- The required server configuration includes a dedicated computer with Pentium IV 3GHz processor, 2GB RAM.
- Network interface card (NIC) supported by Linux kernel.
- The server installed on a local network should be placed outside the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) while behind a firewall. We do not recommend placing server behind proxy servers.
- To ensure proper operability of the server, ports 80 and 443 must be open inside the firewall for all IP addresses used by LIVECHAT Enterprise Edition.
- Symmetrical transmission bandwidth to and from the server - at the minimum of 2Mbit/s.
Note: The average bandwidth required by the LIVECHAT Contact Center for 100 online visitors and 10 operators is 32KB/s, where 24KB/s are dedicated to the client traffic and 8KB/s to the operator activity.

- Internet Access is required for the installation process in order to download all necessary patches and updates. Windows 2000/XP/Vista with an administrator login is needed for testing purposes.
- To start the LIVECHAT Contact Center server, administrator rights (root) are necessary for the use of port 80.
- An X.509 certificate (in .pem format) is required. It should be authorized by an authorization center – certificate verification capability comes standard with any browser.
